Terms and Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a tee time.

Eaton Golf Club Ltd, Chester.  These are the terms and conditions for booking tee times using our Internet booking facility.

CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS
 
All bookings can be made online through the Club website - www.eatongolfclub.co.uk
Paper entries will be acknowledged by post only if a stamped, addressed envelope is included with the booking form or by email, if you include your email address on the entry form.  The appropriate Entry Fee must accompany the entry form.
Times and Markers will be arranged upon application for postal entries.
The Club reserves the right to split up entries received from players at the same Golf Club.
The Club reserves the right to refuse entry without explanation.  All disputes will be referred to the organising committee and their decision will be final.
In the event of a tie (or ties) The Council of National Golf Unions CONGU Unified Handicapping System will apply.
Each entrant must be a member of a recognised Golf Club which is part of an affiliated Golf Union and hold a current handicap.   All competitors may be asked to show their current handicap certificate or supply their CDH number. 
All competitors must hold a valid handicap registered with the World Handicap System. 
No refunds will be made unless a substitute is found for your tee time.  Entrants are permitted to transfer their booking to a    colleague for the event in which the booking originates.
If an event has to be cancelled, a golf voucher will be issued valid for 12 months on a non-competitive basis.  No refund will be given.
Prizes are not exchangeable and must be collected within six months of the event taking place.
All participants using a Club buggy or their own buggy must ensure that the ‘Golf Buggy Safety Policy Acknowledgement Form’ is completed prior to play.  Full details are available on the website or from the Professional Shop.
Each entrant must be insured against Third Party liability.
In the event that a refund is permitted due to an incorrect booking, an admin charge of £1 per player will apply to cover the    administrative costs.
NOTES
Catering facilities will be available during the event.

Smart casual dress is permitted in the Clubhouse for the day of the event.

Payment
=======
To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process and your payment will be taken in Full.

Cancellation Policy
===================

Failure To Cancel Your Booking
==============================
If you fail to cancel your booking, there will be a charge of 100% of the green fee applicable made to your credit/debit card.

Course Closed
=============
If you are unable to play due to the course being closed by the Club, you will be refunded (this is available only to those booking on a casual basis and does not apply to Open Competitions).

Open events - If the event has to be cancelled for any reason, a golf voucher will be issued valid for 12 months on a non-competitive basis.  Please note that No refund will be given.

Booking Transferable
====================
The Booking is transferable. Therefore, should you be unable to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such as a family member or friend.

Handicaps
=========
Eaton welcomes anyone who has a playing handicap.  There are handicap restrictions in place for certain events and open competitions and these details should be reviewed prior to entry.

Dress Code
==========
General Guidance 
If apparel is specifically designed for golf or is sold in the Professional’s shop then it is deemed acceptable golf attire. 
 
The following are not permitted on the course, in the clubhouse or on the patio: 
Blue Denim jeans, cargo style trousers or non-tailored shorts, beach wear, collarless tee shirts.

On the course
If it is specifically designed for golf, you can wear it on the course.

Gentlemen 	
Shirts must be tucked in.
Shorts, if worn, must be tailored, knee length and may be worn with sports socks.
Trousers are not under any circumstance to be tucked into socks.
Ladies 	
The following is NOT permitted:
Skirts, shorts, skorts, golf dresses which reveal your ‘bottom’ at any time.
Tops with a plunging neckline or no collar (very small collars/upstands are okay).

Spike bar and patio 
Golf attire or smart casual clothing are acceptable. 
All those using the Spike Bar should ensure that their golf attire is in a presentable and dry condition. Caps and Visors are not to be worn.

In the Clubhouse 
Golf attire, smart casual clothing or jacket and tie may be worn throughout the clubhouse.

Gentlemen are requested to wear collared shirts (including roll neck and mock shirts) which must be tucked into tailored shorts or trousers.  Those who wish to wear sandals during the hot weather are welcome to do so but we would ask that you refrain from wearing them in the dining room.

Gentleman are asked to refrain from the wearing of tailored shorts in the lounge/dining room after 7pm. 
Event publicity will define the dress code appropriate to specific golf and social functions.

Deemed unacceptable:
Blue denim jeans, track suits, shell suits, men’s  3/4  cut offs, army/combat clothing, sports trainers, caps/visors, wet/soiled clothing, bare feet.

Spikes
======
Spikes may be worn.

Golf Buggies

The club has 4 two seater buggies which have to be booked through the Pro Shop. Priority is given to those with medical grounds. If you require a buggy, you should book direct with the Pro Shop on 01244 335826. The club is happy for you to use your own buggy. Please note that all buggy users must complete and sign the Clubs Buggy policy prior to using one on the course. This also applies to those wishing to use their own buggy. Under some circumstances buggies may be withdrawn from use.

Bookings of Golf Clubs, Trolleys, Caddies, Restaurant, etc

If you require to book golf clubs, trolleys, caddies, restaurant, etc you should enter these requirements in the booking form or alternatively you can contact the club directly by phone on 01244 335885.
